One of the buzziest titles of the season is shaping up to be A House of Dynamite. Kathryn Bigelow‘s latest film blew folks away at the Venice Film Festival, immediately shooting it up Oscar prediction lists. Now, with its next stop about to be the New York Film Festival, Netflix has released an official trailer. Bigelow directs a screenplay by Noah Oppenheim, with the cast including Idris Elba, Rebecca Ferguson, Gabriel Basso, Jared Harris Tracy Letts, Anthony Ramos, Moses Ingram, and Jonah Hauer-King in central roles, alongside Jason Clarke, Kaitlyn Dever, Renée Elise Goldsberry, and Greta Lee. Netflix will put the movie in select theaters on October 10th, before a streaming date of October 24th.
This is the simple plot synopsis from Netflix: “From Academy Award® winning director Kathryn Bigelow comes A HOUSE OF DYNAMITE. When a single, unattributed missile is launched at the United States, a race begins to determine who is responsible and how to respond.”
