The next James Bond movie is fully in development. We know that Denis Villeneuve has come aboard to direct the film. There’s obviously still the matter of who will play 007 in the project, but before that, a writer is needed. Jonathan Nolan was a rumored possibility, but Amazon MGM and Villeneuve have found their scribe.
According to Variety, Steven Knight is who has been tapped to write the next Bond film. Knight created Peaky Blinders on the small screen, while his big screen credits include Dirty Pretty Things, Eastern Promises, Maria, and Spencer. Look for more on this blockbuster soon, as casting will be next up, as a 2028 release date is likely.
