Awards Radar Community: What Was Your Favorite Film of the First Half of the Year?

A few days ago, I posted my annual piece on the best film and performances of the first half of the year. You can see the article, as well as my picks, right here. Tomorrow, I’ll have a horror-centric one up for Sunday Scaries, too, so look out for that. Today, however, it’s time for you all to chime in. Yes, for this week’s Awards Radar Community Question, we’re looking for your first half highlights. Simply put, what was your favorite film from the first half of the year?

If you’re fond of one of the movies that I cited, don’t hesitate to say so. After all, I love being told I’m right. My guess is that Sinners will be the most popular answer, but hopefully it’s not the only one. The Life of Chuck obviously is my favorite, but there’s F1: The Movie, Friendship, Materialists, and many more that have found fans over the course of the first six months. So, whichever strikes your fancy, shout it from the rooftops.

The choice is now yours. Which film from the first half of this year is your favorite? Whether high art or low art, as long as it’s something you’re fond of, we want to hear about it.
