A Sequel to ‘F1’ is in the Works?

Over the weekend, F1 opened to a very solid $57 million domestically at the box office. The Joseph Kosinski helmed racing movie had solid reviews, including from our own Joey Magidson here, while being the latest successful star vehicle for Brad Pitt. It also marked a feather in the cap for Apple as a theatrical distributor. What’s next for Apple and F1? Well, potentially another installment.

According to Variety, a sequel to F1 is in the works. It comes within a piece about what the plans are for Apple going forward, theatrically. The film is a hit, so this isn’t a surprise, but this light confirmation is still worth noting. There’s no official details yet, so it’s far too early to know if Pitt will return, but the gears are turning. Stay tuned for more.
