Mel Brooks to Reprise Role in ‘Spaceballs’ Sequel

Mel Brooks is about to turn 99 and has more going on than most half his age. The latest? Not only is his classic comedy Spaceballs getting a sequel, he’s going to act again, appearing in the film. More below.

According to Brooks himself, he’s back in the sequel, where he’ll play Yogurt once again. He’s producing as well, though not writing or directing. This time around, Josh Greenbaum is at the helm, with a script by Benji Samit, Dan Hernandez and Josh Gad. Gad is rumored to have a starring role. More on this one when we have it.
