It goes without saying that the Marvel Cinematic Universe is looking to release two of their very biggest projects with Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars. The movies are planning to shoot back to back, with the plan to put them out one year apart, in 2026 and 2027. Well, that’s still the plan, just with a change in season.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, both films are opting to delay from May to December. So, now Avengers: Doomsday will hit next year on December 18th instead of May 1st, while Avengers: Secret Wars is changing its 2027 date from May 7th to December 17th. Considering the sizes of these productions and the additional cast members from the MCU likely to ultimately join, these delays make sense. More when we have it, especially as Doomsday is now in production.
