David Fincher is Directing a ‘Once Upon a Time in Hollywood’ Sequel Written By Quentin Tarantino and Starring Brad Pitt

Well, this is either incredibly huge news or one of the more coordinated April Fools Day jokes in some time. Rumors have been building throughout the day that a sequel to Once Upon a Time in Hollywood was in the works, with Brad Pitt returning to star as Cliff Booth, from a screenplay written by Quentin Tarantino. Assuming it’s true, the rest of the details are rather wild, as you’ll see below.

According to The Playlist and subsequent sources, Tarantino is not directing, but David Fincher is, with Netflix the likely home for this project. Again, this could still be a gag, but if it’s legit, Pitt went to Fincher with Tarantino’s script, which QT was cool with, and a deal is coming together. This isn’t necessarily a reviving of The Movie Critic, which Tarantino shelved, but could be something similar. More when we know for sure what’s up.
