‘The Legend of Zelda’ Movie To Release in March 2027

Nintendo fans, rejoice! Sony has announced that the live-action adaptation of one of their most popular games, The Legend of Zelda, will be released in theatres on March 26, 2027. Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes filmmaker Wes Ball is set to direct the picture, with Avi Arad and Nintendo’s Shigeru Miyamoto executive producing.

Plot details or a main cast are kept under wraps at this time, but the director confirmed the date on X, which you can look at below:

More information is bound to come soon, either from Sony, or Nintendo themselves (perhaps, closer to release, we’ll get a special Nintendo Direct dedicated entirely on the movie), so stay tuned for any updates as production begins to ramp up!
