Final Oscar Voting Ends Tonight!

That’s just about time, folks. Pencils down, everyone! As of this 8pm Eastern tonight, voting for the Academy Awards will have ended. Oscar ballots are due, voters have made or are making their final selections, and all that’s left is the actual counting. Early next month brings us the Oscars in all of their glory. In fact, as always, this is the time when pundits like myself pull their hair out the absolute most. Trying to finalize Academy Award predictions with little in the way of new information may seem simple, but when you usually are always awaiting the next tidbit, this is a whole other ball of wax. Mostly, just take a breath and gird yourself for the big day.

Right now, voting is ending with just the Screen Actors Guild Awards still to come. SAG announces this weekend, which will make for a very interesting situation. On the one hand, SAG voters and Academy members have plenty of crossover, so that voting could be reflective. On the other hand, however, with Anora right now looking out in front, it’s hard to see what could happen on Sunday night that could change the game. Well, that’s part of what we’ll be discussing this week, too, so look out for my predictions update on Friday!

So, please sit tight and look out for all of the coverage we have planned. There’s plenty to come, but of course, now we’re just playing the waiting game. Feel free to chime in with your various thoughts and feelings, but other than that, just enjoy the very last bits of the ride for this season…

Stay tuned for more Academy Award coverage all week, leading up to the Oscars on March 2nd!
