‘Wicked: Part Two’ Has a New Title

As Wicked is experiencing much love at the cinemas and in Awards season, nominated for both numerous Golden Globes and Critics Choice Awards, Universal Pictures has announced that the formerly titled Wicked: Part Two will now be called Wicked: For Good. This title refers to one of the Broadway production’s most famous songs that plays in the second half of the show, so it makes perfect sense as to why it is called this way.

Jon M. Chu returns to the director’s chair, with Cynthia Erivo, Ariana Grande-Butera, Jonathan Bailey, Bowen Yang, Jeff Goldblum, and Michelle Yeoh all reprising their respective roles. The film was shot simultaneously with Wicked and is aiming to release in cinemas a year after the first installment, on November 21, 2025.
