Los Angeles Film Critics Association Gives Best Picture Prize to ‘Anora’

Moments ago, the Los Angeles Film Critics Association wrapped up their voting for 2024. Putting forth a very strong showing was Anora, which took Best Picture, as well as a tie for Mikey Madison (with Marianne Jean-Baptiste for Hard Truths) in Best Lead Performance, a tie for Yura Borisov (with Kieran Culkin for A Real Pain) in Best Supporting Performance, and a runner-up prize for Sean Baker in Best Director (losing to Mohammad Rasoulof for The Seed of the Sacred Fig).
