Tom Cruise is Looking to Make a ‘Days of Thunder’ Sequel?

The thought of a sequel to Days of Thunder likely would have been silly until Top Gun: Maverick changed the game. Now, any Tom Cruise property with the right time investment could potentially be given a new life with a modern audience. Well, Cruise seems to agree, since he’s pursuing a sequel to just that film.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, a Days of Thunder sequel is one of Cruise’s priorities at the moment. He’s also looking at a follow-up to Top Gun: Maverick in that series, as well as the future of his Mission: Impossible franchise. Throw in his actually set in space project and there’s plenty of fires burning right now. Which sequels we’ll eventually see remain to be seen, but Cruise fans should be excited at all of the various possibilities.
