Fran Drescher to Co-Star with Timothée Chalamet in Josh Safdie’s ‘Marty Supreme’

Now here’s a combination that’s unexpected but potentially very appealing. Josh Safdie‘s upcoming film Marty Supreme already had Timothée Chalamet in the title role of Marty Reisman, a giant in the 1950s world of table tennis. Now, Fran Drescher is set to join the cast in a potentially major role. Read on for more.

According to Deadline, Drescher is going to play Chalamet’s mom in Safdie’s movie Marty Supreme, which Safdie co-wrote with Ronald Bronstein. The rest of the cast includes Gwyneth Paltrow, Odessa A’zionPenn Jillette, and Abel Ferrara. It’s quite the lineup, for a film with a very interesting premise. So, keep an eye on this one as it continues to come together.
