We’re getting to the point in the season where screeplay classifications are going to become pretty important. One such film that could have gone wither way is Jeff Nichols‘ The Bikeriders. Well, it seems like a decision has been made on the Best Adapted Screenplay vs Best Original Screenplay question, though perhaps a confusing one, as you’ll see below in a moment.
According to Variety, The Bikeriders is going to be classified as Adapted with the Academy Awards, though interestingly with the Writers Guild Awards, it’s classification is Original. The story also claims that Emilia Pérez may be shifting to Adapted from Original with the Oscars, but nothing is official yet. So, stay tuned there.
