Saoirse Ronan to Be Campaigned in Best Supporting Actress for ‘Blitz’

As we prepare for one of the last unseen awards contenders to screen in Steve McQueen‘s Blitz, one question about the film is where Saoirse Ronan will campaign. Will she be competing against herself in Best Actress, where she’s also in play for The Outrun? Or, will she go into Best Supporting Actress? Well, today we have our answer.

According to Variety, Ronan will in fact compete in Supporting Actress for Blitz. Now, she has a chance to be double nominated if both movies have a good run this season. The Outrun is already seen as a decent player for her in Actress, but once Blitz screens at the BFI London Film Festival and then the New York Film Festival. Stay tuned to see what happens.
