‘Ted Lasso’ Season 4 Could Be Greenlit Soon

Ater what seemed to be a conclusion, Apple and Warner Bros. Television are in the process of greenlighting a fourth season for their hit comedy series, Ted Lasso. Deadline has revealed that Warner Bros. has picked up the options on three of the show’s cast members contracted with Equity to return for a fourth season, which includes Hannah Waddingham, Brett Goldstein, and Jeremy Swift.

The studio will then reach out to SAG-AFTRA actors whose deals have expired, which includes Jason Sudeikis, Juno Temple, and Brendan Hunt. The contract of Phil Dunster, who portrays Jamie Tart, is expected not to be picked up, due to a conflict with two television series, Surface and The Devil’s Hour.

With discussions being made with various unions to renew their contracts, a fourth season seems to be well on its way to happen, should a budget be approved and most of the stars available to return. Early preparations are also being made to begin a writer’s room, and should everything come into place, filming could start in early 2025.

The series seemingly ended with its third season, but it looks like Jason Sudeikis might have had a change of heart. Time will tell if the fourth season of Ted Lasso will come to fruition, but with actors’ contracts being renewed for the series, it looks like we may get a chance to see their characters on screen much sooner than later!
