Coming off of Longlegs, Nicolas Cage is pretty hot again. So, it’s always interesting to see where a fearless actor like that chooses to go next. Well, he’s apparently going the biopic route, albeit for one that’s taking a really interesting approach to the material.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Cage is going to play the late John Madden in the upcoming biopic written and directed by David O. Russell. The thing is, this isn’t particularly a biopic about Madden the Hall of Fame football coach. Instead, this is more about how he was a part of developing the juggernaut Madden Football video game franchise. It’s a very interesting mix of premise and talent, so stay tuned to see how this one turns out.
