A Forrest Gump reunion is upon us. This morning brought our first look at Robert Zemeckis‘ Here, which has him working once more with Tom Hanks, while Robin Wright returns to their stable. Zemeckis co-wrote the adaption of the Richard McGuire graphic novel with Eric Roth, while he directs, so there’s plenty of Forrest Gump alumni to go around. Sony will release the movie wide on November 15th, so they have some degree of confidence in the ambitious project. You can decide below.
The film’s synopsis is as follows: “From the reunited director, writer, and stars of Forrest Gump, Here is an original film about multiple families and a special place they inhabit. The story travels through generations, capturing the human experience in its purest form. Directed by Robert Zemeckis, screenplay by Eric Roth & Zemeckis and told much in the style of the acclaimed graphic novel by Richard McGuire on which it is based, Tom Hanks and Robin Wright star in a tale of love, loss, laughter and life, all of which happen right Here.”
