Jeffrey Wright Joins ‘The Last of Us – Season 2’

Jeffrey Wright is the latest to join the cast of The Last of Us – Season 2 and will reprise his role as Isaac from the video game. He will be the second actor to directly reprise his role from the game to the series after Merle Dandridge played Marlene in the game and the show’s first season. Actors Troy Baker and Ashley Johnson, who portrayed Joel and Ellie in the video game, appeared in the first season but as different characters than the ones they initially played.

The season already has an incredible roster of actors, including Pedro Pascal, Bella Ramsey, Gabriel Luna, Kaitlyn Dever, Young Mazino, Isabela Merced, Danny Ramirez, Ariela Barer, Tati Gabrielle, Spencer Lord, and Catherine O’Hara, with Wright being the latest to join this amazing ensemble.

Episodes will be directed by Neil Druckmann, Craig Mazin, Peter Hoar, Kate Herron, Nina Lopez-Corrado, Mark Mylod, and Stephen Williams, with filming long underway. The show will be released in 2025 on Max.
