Steven Spielberg’s Next Film is Coming in the Summer of 2026!

Once we knew that The Fabelmans was not going to be a retirement or swan song for Steven Spielberg, anticipation grew high for what his next project would be. Well, today we can report not what the film is, but when we’ll all be able to see it.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Amblin Entertainment and Universal have announced that Spielberg’s latest event picture will release on May 15th, 2026. There’s no plot for the movie just yet, or what it even could be, though we do know that David Koepp will be teaming up with him once again. Koepp writing a film that Spielberg directs once gave us Jurassic Park, so let the hype machine begin!
