For a while now, folks have been waiting for Brady Corbet‘s The Brutalist, which is the actor/filmmaker’s follow-up to Vox Lux. Well, we now know who will be handling the international rights to the movie.
According to Variety, Focus Features has acquired international distribution rights. The Brutalist stars Adrien Brody, Felicity Jones, Guy Pearce, and Joe Alwyn, with Raffey Cassidy, Isaach De Bankolé, Alessandro Nivola, Stacy Martin, Emma Laird, Jonathan Hyde, and Peter Polycarpou in supporting roles. The story states that the plot is the following: “The film charts 30 years in the lives of visionary architect László Toth and his wife, Erzsébet, who flee post-war Europe in 1947 and witness the birth of modern America. László initially endures poverty and indignity, but the architect’s genius soon catches the attention of charming industrialist Harrison Lee Van Buren, whose dark influence threatens to destroy everything László and his wife have built.” Now, we know that Focus will be bringing this to some audiences, so look for more on the movie soon.
