The ‘Verse! Closes Out Ahsoka, More Doctor Who, & All They Saw at NYCC

The squad returns from a shore leave trip to Earth to recap New York Comic Con 2023, conclude our coverage of Disney+’s Ahsoka, and continue our Doctor Who retrospective. Buckle up because we are BACK with a packed universe schedule.

Strong feelings are had by all as we discuss our reactions to the action-packed ending of Ahsoka season one and also make our predictions for season two. Tune in to hear if this series met our expectations and how it compares to the other Star Wars TV series we’ve covered.

The Squad then switches gears for our special segment not about TV or film, but about a bonafide meat-space event: New York Comic Con! We had three squad members on the scene – NYCC veteran Norm, Con Newbie Emilia, and of course, the mysterious Prusakowski – 4 days, 100s of miles walked, 100s of hours spent of panels, artists, cosplays and parties. Listen in, hear about our favorites and the new discoveries along the way.

Finally, start our look at NuWho series two, David Tennant’s first run as the Doctor on the BBC’s incredibly popular Doctor Who. But please, just don’t mention the “D” word to Dr. Brogan. It is a fun conversation that has Doctor Who-newcomers Lucas and Norm take the back seat in the TARDIS as our resident Whovian Emilia leads the charge And if you stick around after the credits, *clink clink*

Written by Steven Prusakowski

Steven Prusakowski has been a cinephile as far back as he can remember, literally. At the age of ten, while other kids his age were sleeping, he was up into the late hours of the night watching the Oscars. Since then, his passion for film, television, and awards has only grown. For over a decade he has reviewed and written about entertainment through publications including Awards Circuit and Screen Radar. He has conducted interviews with some of the best in the business - learning more about them, their projects and their crafts. He is a graduate of the RIT film program. You can find him on Twitter and Letterboxd as @FilmSnork – we don’t know why the name, but he seems to be sticking to it.
