Barbara Broccoli Says Fans Will Have to Wait a While to Find Out Who the New 007 Will Be

If you’re a big James Bond fan, you’re probably very eager to know who will be tapped to play 007 after Daniel Craig wrapped up his time with the role in No Time to Die. Rumors have persisted about Aaron Taylor-Johnson being a frontrunner for the part, as well as potentially a filmmaker like Christopher Nolan being in play to make the movie. Well, producer Barbara Broccoli wants you all to take a deep breath. Apparently, you’re way ahead of them when it comes to the future of 007.

According to Variety, Broccoli has said in a recent interview that they haven’t even begun going down the road of reinventing the franchise. That includes figuring out who the new 007 will be. So, while a new Bond and film are coming, don’t expect any news on that front for some time. They’re clearly still very much at the starting point.
