Interview: Kiersey Clemons Discusses ‘Susie Searches’ and her Growing List of Acting Opportunities

Whenever you see Kiersey Clemons in a project, you know you’re going to be watching an exciting young actress. As someone who adores Hearts Beat Loud, you can easily see that she’s going places. This week, she headlines a new film in Susie Searches, where she gets to exercise both comedic and dramatic chops. It’s strong work from a strong actress. So, back in late June, we got together on Zoom to talk about the movie, her career, and what might be next. Today, that chat comes your way.

Below, you can see my conversation with Clemons. We talk about her latest film, Susie Searches, but also about how she approaches her exciting new opportunities. As mentioned, we recorded this earlier in the summer, right around the time The Flash was coming out, so we bring up how getting that movie was also a boon to her career.
