Noah Baumbach to Write Memoir

Deadline reports that Marriage Story and White Noise filmmaker Noah Baumbach is set to write his first book, which will be a memoir. The project is yet-to-be-titled, but the Knopf Publishing Group reportedly acquired it after a highly competitive auction.

The book will be published in hardcover, e-book, and audio by Penguin Random House in North America. It will focus on Baumbach’s life and career through “key experiences and his relationship with cinema.”

Knopf acquired the treatment for the book, though Baumbach is set to start working on the project soon. The writer/director has recently released White Noise for Netflix, which co-starred Greta Gerwig, who co-wrote her latest movie, Barbie, with Baumbach. Barbie is set to release in theatres on July 21.
