Trailer Debuts for Documentary ‘Chasing Chasing Amy’ Ahead of Tribeca Debut

Chasing Amy has a special place in the heart of Awards Radar editor Joey Magidson, so it’s been featured several times on the site. The film also means a lot to filmmaker Sav Rodgers, who has crafted a documentary about the impact of Kevin Smith‘s third movie. Debuting at the Tribeca Film Festival, Chasing Chasing Amy is sure to be one of the most interesting titles there. A trailer has dropped, helping to generate excitement before that festival debut.

The synopsis for the documentary is: “Chasing Chasing Amy examines the impact that one queer, ’90s rom-com had on 12-year-old Sav Rodgers from Kansas, versus the controversial and lasting influence that Kevin Smith’s cult classic has had on the broader LGBTQ+ community.”
