Wes Anderson’s ‘Asteroid City’ to Premiere at Cannes As First Poster Revealed

Deadline has confirmed that Wes Anderson‘s latest film, Asteroid City, will go to the Cannes International Film Festival. While the studio, Focus Features, has not confirmed that it will bow to the French Riviera, Deadline’s sources are confident this will be true. Other films rumored to premiere at the festival are Martin Scorsese‘s Killers of the Flower Moon and James Mangold‘s Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny. Asteroid City is set to release in theatres on June 16.

Written and directed by Anderson, the film has a high-level ensemble, including the likes of Jason Schwartzman, Scarlett Johansson, Tom Hanks, Jeffrey Wright, Tilda Swinton, Bryan Cranston, Edward Norton, Adrien Brody, Liev Schreiber, Hope Davis, Rupert Friend, Maya Hawke, Steve Carell, Matt Dillon, Hong Chau, Willem Dafoe, Margot Robbie, Tony Revolori, Sophia Lillis, Jeff Goldblum, Fisher Stevens, and Rita Wilson.
