New Trailer for Emancipation Teases Will Smith’s Return

The latest trailer for Emancipation has released. Directed by Antoine Fuqua and written by William N. Collage, the movie stars Will Smith, Ben Foster, Charmaine Bingwa, Steven Ogg, Gilbert Owuor, Mustafa Shakir and Grant Harvey.

Its plot synopsis reads, “Inspired by a true story, one man fights through unthinkable terrors in an attempt to reunite with his family.” The movie will be Will Smith’s first big title to release in the wake of the incident at the 2022 Oscars involving Chris Rock, which led to Smith being barred from any Academy-related events for ten years, even after resigning from the organization.

You can watch the trailer below and see the movie in select theatres on December 2 and on Apple TV+ on December 9:
