Yorgos Lanthimos to Direct ‘AND’ With Star-Studded Cast

While Yorgos Lanthimos is currently in post-production with Poor Things, starring Emma Stone, Willem Dafoe, Ramy Youssef, Mark Ruffalo, Jerrod Carmichael, Christopher Abbott, and Margaret Qualley, the director has assembled his main cast for his next project, AND.

Written by Lanthimos and Efthimis Filippou, AND will reunite Emma Stone, Willem Dafoe, and Margaret Qualley from Poor Things, alongside Jesse Plemons. Their characters, alongside plot details, are currently under wraps. However, the movie will be distributed by Searchlight Pictures, and produced by Lanthimos, Ed Guiney, Andrew Lowe, and Kasia Malipan.

In a statement, Searchlight Pictures president said that “Working with Yorgos continues to be a highlight for us at Searchlight, and this is yet another truly original project that sets his work apart. Working again with Emma, Willem, Jesse and Margaret as well as Element and Film4 is just the icing on the cake.”

In another statement, Ed Guiney and Andrew Lowe expressed that “This is our fifth film with Yorgos and we are delighted to reunite once again with Searchlight and Film4 on this brilliant script by Yorgos and Efthmis. Yorgos has drawn an incredible cast and crew and we are dying to get started.”

No current release date for Poor Things and AND have been announced.
