Hugh Jackman to Return as Wolverine in ‘Deadpool 3’

In a surprising bit of Marvel news, Hugh Jackman will be joining the cast of Deadpool 3 as Wolverine. The news was announced from Ryan Reynolds himself, who promises fans he has been working very hard on making the sequel happen, and for Deadpool’s introduction in the MCU to be a memorable one.

Jackman last appeared in Logan, which was billed as the end for the character in the X-Men universe, and the actor’s time as Wolverine, with the character dying at the end of the movie. Time will tell how Wolverine is alive in this movie, with multiversal shenanigans the possible culprit.

Directed by Shawn Levy and written by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, the movie now has an official release date of September 6, 2024. You can watch the announcement video below:
