I’m a big Emile Hirsch fan. Obviously, he’s amazing in Into the Wild, which I maintain is one of the bigger Oscar snubs in Best Actor, to date. However, if you dig a little deeper, I love some of his other performances from around that time just as much, including in the criminally underrated Imaginary Heroes. He’s a talented actor who deserves a strong platform for his work. This week, one such example is coming out in The Immaculate Room, where he’s in nearly every scene, opposite Kate Bosworth. So, when interview opportunities popped up for this film, I knew I wanted to talk to him. We made it happen earlier on this week, and today, you can see my conversation with him.
Below, you can see my chat with Hirsch. I bring up some of his older work, which happens to be favorites of mine, as mentioned above, and he seemed to really dig the deep cuts. Of course, we talk The Immaculate Room as well (look for my review on Friday), including how those other jobs prepped him in a way for this one. He’s a very easy guy to talk to, as well as very at home with now discussing his craft, so it was a really interesting discussion. Take a look below and be sure to check out those older projects I mentioned if you haven’t seen them. The Immaculate Room hits theaters this weekend, starring Hirsch and Bosworth, so keep that in mind, too.
Here now is my interview with The Immaculate Room star Emile Hirsch. Enjoy:
