First Trailer Released for Phyllis Nagy’s ‘Call Jane’

Roadside Attractions has released the first trailer for Phyllis Nagy‘s latest film, Call Jane. The distributor acquired the rights for the movie in back in February of this year, merely two weeks after its debut at the Sundance Film Festival.

Call Jane tells the story of Joy (Elizabeth Banks), a housewife who leads an ordinarily life until her second pregnancy leads to a very serious heart condition during the late-sixties. She faces an all-male medical establishment who refuse to terminate her pregnancy to save her, until she meets Virginia (Sigourney Weaver) and Gwen (Wunmi Mosaku), activists who hope to see an improvement in the condition of women’s health rights.
