‘WEIRD: The Al Yankovic Story’ to Premiere at TIFF in the Midnight Madness Category

Today, we can report that the ‘Weird Al’ Yankovic biopic of sorts, WEIRD: The Al Yankovic Story, will be playing the 2022 Toronto International Film Festival. The movie will be a part of the Midnight Madness category, allowing it to have a unique and potentially very successful showcase. This continues the very interesting additions to TIFF, as we prepare for a big festival season.

WEIRD: The Al Yankovic Story stars Daniel Radcliffe and Evan Rachel Wood, with the former playing Yankovic. Eric Appel directs, while he shares a screenplay credit with Yankovic himself. Joey will be on the ground at TIFF, so if/when he sees the film, look for his take!
