‘BROS’ To Premiere At TIFF 2022

The Toronto International Film Festival has announced that BROS will have its world premiere during the 2022 edition of the festival, which will take place from September 8th to the 18th and will mark the first time TIFF is entirely in person since the COVID-19 pandemic began.

Directed by Nicholas Stoller and with a screenplay by Billy Eichner and Stoller, the movie is the first major theatrical studio film with an openly LGBTQ+ cast. Eichner, Luke Macfarlane, Ts Madison, Monica Raymund, Guillermo Diaz, Guy Branum, Amanda Bearse, Jim Rash, Bowen Yang, Miss Lawrence, and Harvey Fierstein are among some of the actors starring in the project.

Its plot synopsis reads, “This fall, Universal Pictures proudly presents the first romantic comedy from a major studio about two gay men maybe, possibly, probably, stumbling towards love. Maybe. They’re both very busy.”

The film will be released in theatres on September 30th, while TIFF tickets go on sale on August 28th for members, and August 30th for the general public.
