Miles Teller Had Conversations on ‘Top Gun 3’ With Tom Cruise

While interviewed by Entertainment Tonight, Miles Teller revealed that he had talked to Tom Cruise about making Top Gun 3. Top Gun Maverick has grossed more than $1 billion dollars at the box office and is still making lots of money worldwide. So it’s a no-brainer that a sequel is currently being discussed by the stars and filmmakers.

However, Teller has also said that he doesn’t know if the sequel will ever happen because Cruise himself will have the final saying in the matter: “It’s all up to Tom. I’ve been having some conversations with him about it. We’ll see.”

Teller also talked about the success of the sequel stating that “For him to share ‘Top Gun’ with me and a lot of these other young actors it’s just been such a wild ride, and it’s still going.”

A sequel to Top Gun Maverick wouldn’t be a bad idea, but the story will have to be as good as Maverick for it to be possible. And how big would Cruise’s involvement be in the installment? Time will tell if it will ever happen, but it’s certainly a fun tidbit to get excited about, especially if you’re feeling the need for speed.
