New Red Band Trailer for ‘Crimes of the Future’ Breaks Free

The new (and Red Band) Trailer for David Cronenberg‘s latest film, Crimes of the Future, has released. Although having the same title of Cronenberg’s 1970 film, it is not a remake nor a reimagining of that movie. Also written by Cronenberg, it boasts an impressive cast comprised of Kristen Stewart, Viggo Mortensen, Léa Seydoux, and Scott Speedman.

Its plot synopsis reads “As the human species adapts to a synthetic environment, the body undergoes new transformations and mutations. With his partner Caprice (Léa Seydoux), Saul Tenser (Viggo Mortensen), celebrity performance artist, publicly showcases the metamorphosis of his organs in avant-garde performances. Timlin (Kristen Stewart), an investigator from the National Organ Registry, obsessively tracks their movements, which is when a mysterious group is revealed… Their mission – to use Saul’s notoriety to shed light on the next phase of human evolution.”

You can watch the full trailer below and see the movie in theatres on June 3rd:
