Interview: Craig Robinson on Killing Snakes and the American Dream in ‘Killing It’

Peacock’s new comedy series Killing It tells the kind of story that could only be set in Florida, about a man desperate to support his family and launch his own business who enters a snake-hunting competition to win the money he needs.

Awards Radar had the chance to speak with star and executive producer Craig Robinson about what drew him to the show and the fantastic talent in the ensemble.

In comparing himself – Craig Robinson – to his character, Craig Foster, here’s what Robinson had to say:

“I’m about that American dream. I’m relentless in going after what I want. You have to be in this business. He’s like me in that way. I like to think that I would not stop for anything. He’s also like me because he loves family. He’s always trying to take care of people. He’s not like me in that I probably wouldn’t go hunting snakes.”

Season one of Killing It is now streaming on Peacock.
