‘Barbie’ Adds Will Ferrell to Her Dream Cast

You wouldn’t think it, just based on the property, but Barbie may just be one of the most interesting movie currently filming. Not only is the toy adaptation co-written by Noah Baumbach and Greta Gerwig, but Gerwig is at the helm. Plus, Barbie is being played by none other than Margot Robbie. Now, the players for this film have been expanded to include Will Ferrell!

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Ferrell is the latest addition to the Barbie cast. Apparently, he’ll be playing a toy company CEO, which suggests a potentially meta angle to it all. He joins a stacked cast for Gerwig, which features, in addition to Robbie in the lead, Ryan Gosling as Ken, plus Simu Liu and Kate McKinnon. It’s hard not to be excited about this one, so stay tuned for more details to come!
