Steven Spielberg’s Coming of Age Tale ‘The Fabelmans’ Gets 2022 Release Date

With the release of West Side Story later this week, news has turned to the filmmaker’s next movie. Universal Studios announced today that Steven Spielberg‘s and Amblin‘s newest film, based on his own life, will be released Thanksgiving weekend next year.

The Fabelmans, which started filming this summer, features Michelle Williams, Seth Rogen, Paul Dano and Gabriel LaBelle. Williams and Dano will play versions of Spielberg’s parents with Rogen playing his uncle.

The personal project loosely adapting the Oscar winning director’s childhood will release November 23, 2022. This release being at the tale end of the year, puts The Fabelmans directly on the awards radar for next season.
