New Teaser Released for Joel Coen’s ‘Tragedy of Macbeth’

This Thursday morning, A24 (and Apple) released the newest teaser for Joel Coen’s latest film, The Tragedy of Macbeth.

Starring Denzel Washington in the title role, this reimagining of the classic Shakespearean tale tells that of one nobleman’s violent rise to power in Scotland. The film also stars Frances McDormand and Corey Hawkins.

In this newest trailer in a series of three, we catch brief glimpses of the gorgeous black-and-white cinematography, stunning sets, and now we’re gifted a brief glimpse of one of Macbeth’s heinous acts.

The film has already received rave reviews in its premieres at the New York Film Festival (Joey’s take is right here) and at the BFI London film festival. This awards hopeful is set to hit limited theaters on December 25. It will also release on AppleTV+ on January 14, 2022.
