Interview: Stephanie Beatriz on Taking the Lead in Disney’s ‘Encanto’

The sixtieth feature film from Walt Disney Animation Studios is Encanto, a delightful story of family and magic set in Colombia. The only member of the Madrigal family not to be endowed with her own special gift is the spunky and perceptive Mirabel, who must figure out a way to save the magic of the Encanto when she realizes it is in danger.

Awards Radar had the opportunity to speak with Stephanie Beatriz, who provides the voice for Mirabel, about the excitement of anchoring a Disney movie and working with Lin-Manuel Miranda on another project. Check out Awards Radar’s full review here.

Encanto opens exclusively in theaters on Wednesday, November 24th.
