First Trailer for ‘A Hero’ Reveals Asghar Farhadi’s Latest Movie

The first trailer for Asghar Farhadi‘s latest film, A Hero, has finally hit the web. The movie has premiered throughout many film festivals this year and our editor-in-chief Joey Magidson saw the movie at TIFF, calling it “more compelling work from Asghar Farhadi” in part due to its “wonderful” acting. You can read his full review by clicking this link.

Written and directed by Farhadi, the film stars Amir Jadidi, Mohsen Tanabandeh, Sahar Goldoost and Feresteh Sadr Orafaie and will hit theaters exclusively on January 7th before making its way to Amazon Prime Video on the 22nd. Here’s the official plot of the movie from Amazon Studios:

“Rahim (Amir Jadidi) is in prison because of a debt he was unable to repay. During a two-day leave, he tries to convince his creditor (Mohsen Tanabandeh) to withdraw his complaint against the payment of part of the sum. But things don’t go as planned.”
