Guillermo del Toro’s ‘Nightmare Alley’ Receives First Trailer

There is simply no denying that Guillermo del Toro is one of the most widely talked about filmmakers in the past few decades. He has directed a plethora of highly acclaimed films such as Pan’s Labyrinth, Hellboy, and Best Picture Academy Award winner The Shape of Water.

And although he has written and produced a few films in recent years including Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark and The Witches, it’s been four years since his latest directorial effort, but that will change this year.

Today, we have received our very first trailer for del Toro’s newest feature film Nightmare Alley, starring Bradley Cooper, Cate Blanchett, Toni Collette, Willem Dafoe, Richard Jenkins, Rooney Mara, Ron Perlman, and David Strathairn.

The film follows Stan Carlisle, an ambitious carny with a talent for manipulating people with a few well-chosen words, hooks up with Dr. Lilith Ritter, a psychiatrist who is even more dangerous than he is.

You can check out the trailer below:

Nightmare Alley is scheduled to be released by Searchlight Pictures on December 17, 2021.
