Official Poster for ‘Spencer’ Revealed

NEON has released the first official poster for Pablo Larraín‘s Spencer on Twitter earlier today. A trailer is yet to be revealed, but with a release date of November 5th it is expected to drop soon.

Here is a quick synopsis of Spencer: During her Christmas holidays with the royal family at the Sandringham estate in Norfolk, England, Diana decides to leave her marriage to Prince Charles. The film stars Kristen Stewart as Princess Diana.

Spencer is one of the films to watch out for this season as it makes its way to the Venice Film Festival and the Toronto International Film Festival, before releasing to the public in November. With NEON handling the distribution, they will certainly be aiming to get a few nominations and wins this award season, particularly for Stewart.

The poster is simple, yet incredibly effective. Focusing on Stewart, she is facing away from the camera and hiding away in her dress. This is a great first piece from the marketing team on what might be a strong campaign for Spencer.
