Yesterday, the first teaser trailer was released for Sion Sono‘s brand new film titled Prisoners of the Ghostland, which stars Nicolas Cage, Bill Moseley, and Sofia Boutella. The film follows a ruthless bank robber (Cage) who is sprung from jail by wealthy warlord The Governor (Moseley), whose adopted granddaughter Bernice (Boutella) has gone missing.
The Governor offers his prisoner his freedom in exchange for retrieving the runaway. Strapped in a leather suit that will self-destruct within five days, the bandit sets off on a journey to find the young woman – and his own path to redemption.
The teaser that we saw yesterday only gave us a brief glimpse into what this project would deliver, but as you may expect, this new trailer shows us a whole lot more. You can check it out below:
Prisoners of the Ghostland is scheduled to be released by RLJE Films on September 17, 2021 in theatres and on VOD.
