‘Sopranos’ Prequel ‘The Many Saints of Newark’ Gets First Trailer

It honestly goes without saying at this point that David Chase‘s HBO mob-drama The Sopranos is one of the greatest television series ever made. More than that, it’s widely regarded as one of the best pieces of entertainment period.

From 1999-2007, audiences tuned in to see the story of Tony Soprano as he had to traverse his home life with his wife Carmela, son Anthony, and daughter Meadow, while also dealing with his life in the mafia.

One of the things audiences and critics adored most about The Sopranos were the characters. They were so rich and full of intrigue even if we didn’t get to know too much about their life before the events of the show. However, Alan Taylor‘s The Many Saints of Newark – which stars Alessandro Nivola, Leslie Odom Jr., Jon Bernthal, Corey Stoll, and Michael Gandolfini -the son of late father James Gandolfini – aims to change that and give us a detailed look at the gang’s past.

The Many Saints of Newark is scheduled to be released in theatres and streaming on HBO Max on October 1, 2021.
