Night One of the 2021 MTV Movie and TV Awards saw the new Marvel Cinematic Universe series from Disney+ dominate proceedings, with WandaVision and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier taking home a combined 6 of the 13 total awards from the night.

This year’s awards are being split into two nights, with tonight’s ceremony hosted by Leslie Jones honoring the awards in the Scripted categories. Tomorrow night will see the awards given out in the Unscripted categories.

The MCU appraisal continued with Scarlett Johansson being given the Generation Award, as her highly anticipated upcoming solo MCU film Black Widow aired a special exclusive clip during the event. The next Disney+ series from Marvel, Loki, also delivered a special sneak peek.
