Character Posters for ‘Black Widow’ Released

The long wait for a new Marvel Cinematic Universe is almost over, and the studio has dropped a new tease with a series of character posters for their return to the big screen, Black Widow

Scarlett Johansson (Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow), Florence Pugh (Yelena Belova), David Harbour (Alexei Shostakov/Red Guardian), Rachel Weisz (Melina Vostokoff), and O-T Fagbenle (Rick Mason) are all featured in their own posters, as is the mysterious villain Taskmaster, whose identity is still undisclosed.

The film, directed by Cate Shortland, is set after the events of Captain America: Civil War, as Natasha heads back into her past and meets up with some former associates in order to take down a new threat without the help of her fellow Avengers.

Black Widow’s solo adventure is something that has been long-awaited from fans of the series, even before COVID caused the film to be delayed for an entire year. After 2020 served as the first year since 2009 without a new MCU film on the big screen, audiences are more hungry than ever for a return to this superheroic cinematic universe.

Black Widow will be released in theaters on July 9, 2021, and simultaneously for streaming on Disney+ with Premier Access.
