26th Nantucket Film Festival Announces Lineup!

The Nantucket Film Festival has announced the lineup for the 26th annual edition of their festival, taking place from June 17-28, 2021.

The festival’s opening night selection will be the Sundance Award winning documentary Summer of Soul (… Or, When The Revolution Could Not Be Televised), directed by Ahmir “Questlove” Thompson. It’ll close out with another Sundance Award winner, Siôn Heder’s smash hit CODA. Both films earned huge praise and will certainly draw big crowds at Nantucket (Joey loved the latter at Sundance). Playing With Sharks from director Sally Aitken will be the festival’s Centerpiece selection.

Among the many exciting films playing at the festival will be conversations with talent including Ethan Hawke, Mark Duplass, Lesley Stahl, Chris Matthews, Michael Ian Black, Allison Hoffman, Gayle Tzemach Lemmon, and more.

NFT will also be handing out their own awards, including the Compass Rose Award for Career Achievement to Kelsey Grammer, who will be participating in a conversation, and the Excellence in Television Writing Award to Amy Sherman-Palladino and Dan Palladino

To see the festival’s full lineup, and purchase passes which are on sale now (including streaming passes), head to www.nantucketfilmfestival.org. Individual tickets will go on sale June 4.
