Some Oscar Presenters Have Been Announced!

We’re less than two weeks away from the 93rd Oscars ceremony, and while certain elements remain in flux, plenty of details are being finalized and announced to the world.

In that spirit, show producers Jesse Collins, Stacey Sher and Steven Soderbergh have announced a bulk of this year’s presenters. As is customary, these names include the traditional return of the previous year’s four acting winners to present: Laura Dern, Joaquin Phoenix, Brad Pitt, and Renée Zellweger.

Another exciting name announced with this group is last year’s big winner, Parasite director Bong Joon-ho. Given how memorable his speeches were across the entirety of last award season, it will surely be a delight to see Bong again presenting this year.

Billed by the producers as an “ensemble cast” of presenters, other names announced today are Angela Bassett, Halle Berry, Don Cheadle, Bryan Cranston, Harrison Ford, Regina King, Marlee Matlin, Rita Moreno, Reese Witherspoon, and Zendaya

Collins, Sher, and Soderbergh released a brief statement with the announcement in relation to the theme of this year’s ceremony, saying, “In keeping with our awards-show-as-a-movie approach, we’ve assembled a truly stellar cast of stars. There’s so much wattage here, sunglasses may be required.”

More presenters will be announced later, as the producers are locking in these final plans for the April 25th ceremony, which begins live on ABC at 8pm EDT/5pm PDT.
